Stop installing distributions

user123:

Hey im moving from Ubuntu to Arch/Gentoo/Void to learn how to use Linux, Ubuntu is not a challenge to me.

Most modern linux distributions follow a similar form of building the distribution, hence most distributions which run a GNU userspace work really similarly. The concept of how these distributions work does not differ a lot with the big distributions.

What this means is learning how to install distros is essentially useless for learning Linux as most of them run the same toolsets anyway, learning one distro essentially teaches you how most distributions work.
